Please vote for Wicketz in the British Ethnic Diversity Sports Awards!

You may be aware of the Wicketz programme in Greater Manchester.

It is national project operated by the Lord’s Taverners who have funded us to deliver it locally, and we are one of 14 areas to benefit from this funding across England and Scotland.

Wicketz has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Spirit of 2012 Connecting Communities Award at the British Ethnic Diversity Sports Awards (BEDSA’s) 2018.

This is a very prestigious award to be nominated for and further recognition for Wicketz, a community cricket programme helping hard-to-reach young people aged 8-16 living in areas of high deprivation with a focus on social cohesion and developing crucial life skills.

Nearly 600 young people now attend sessions regularly and this number is continuing to grow substantially this year.

Could I ask you to please go to and click on the Lord’s Taverners Wicketz programme under the ‘Spirit of 2012 Connecting Communities’ award.  This will further raise the profile of the project which, in turn, will help attract future funding.

Thanks for your support!
