Training courses - Professional and for members of the public

We have a few remaining places on the four day programme “Working with Trauma and PTSD” we are running in March. The course is suitable for qualified and student counsellors and psychotherapists. The aim of the course is to deepen your understanding of trauma and its impact and develop further skills in working with people affected by trauma and PTSD.

 

The trainer is Penny Bullock, MBACP (Snr. Accred.), MSc in Psychological Trauma. Penny has worked as a senior counsellor within the NHS for 15 years and currently specialises in trauma work.

Working with Trauma and PTSD: 4 day course -10am to 4pm

      

Friday 2nd and 9th March

Saturday 10th March &

Friday 23rd March

 

  • There are also a few places left on our course for members of the public -  CALM-US – Concerned About a Loved One’s MisUse of Substances (Drink & Drugs) starting on Wednesday 28th February for 8 weeks until Wednesday 18th April, from 7pm to 8.30pm. The course is for anyone affected by a loved one’s addiction to alcohol and/or drugs. If you – or anyone you know – would like to book a place please ring us on 0161 941 7754. There is no booking form for this course.

 

  • The “Introduction to Counselling” course will take place on Monday 14th May from 10am to 4pm. This course is for anyone considering a career in counselling or who is currently working or volunteering in any helping role and would like to know more about counselling skills and how they may be helpful in their role. As with the CALM-US course there is no booking form. If anyone is interested please ring us on 0161 941 7754.
