Salary: £10.10 per hour/£7,352.80 per annum
Hours per week: 14 hours per week/52 weeks per year

Based: Henshaws Atherton House, Old Trafford
This is a unique opportunity to work with sight impaired and severely sight impaired children and young people and their families. Delivering Henshaws Pathway to Independence, the Enablement Officer will be responsible for assessing and supporting the needs of new referrals aged 0-7yrs. This will include the planning, delivering and evaluating of activities for CYP up to the age of 18 years old and their families. In addition, this includes four new early years groups, ensuring they have the same social and leisure opportunities as their sighted peers.
The Enablement Officer will develop and maintain relationships with external agencies to maximise referrals and continually develop the service Henshaws offer. This post is generously funded for 1 year by Key 103 Cash for Kids and The Mason Family Foundation.
In order to deliver the above project, we are looking to recruit an Enablement Officer with experience of working and supporting young people aged up to 18 years old or experience of working with parents, families and carers in group activities or one to one. You will be able to communicate effectively at all levels, have brilliant time management skills and understand the need for confidentiality.
