Sale Locality Partnership is making £10,000 is available to support and strengthen individuals or informal groups of people living in Sale. This pot of money will provide a unique opportunity for anyone in Sale to obtain a small amount of money to make a difference in their street and neighbourhood.
All you need to do is tell us in 300 words or under your idea on our on-line form www.traffordpartnership.org/makesalesmile or on one of the postcards distributed across Sale. Ideas that bring neighbours or groups of friends together can apply for up to £500 for anything such as:
• Communal window boxes or planting
• Litter picking
• Coffee morning
• Setting up a Neighbours scheme
• Street party
Executive Councillor for Communities and Partnerships and Chair of Sale Locality Partnership, John Lamb, said: "Our Spring into Sale event last year highlighted how friendly Sale is, with a strong community that looks out for each. We want to support and increase this with our exciting new fund. We will consider any small local activity or event that brings Sale people together to connect them, reduce isolation and get neighbours together ... anything that will MAKE SALE SMILE!"
Applicants will be invited to a networking event on 14th May and will be told if they have been successful by 29th May.
