Greater Manchester Youth Network (GMYN) is looking to recruit an appropriately skilled/experienced worker to work alongside our existing coordinator to plan and deliver a range of informal learning sessions and volunteering activities for young people aged 13-25 in Oldham.
The position will be primarily based in Volunteer Centre Oldham, with the post-holder also undertaking work from GMYN’s office in Ardwick, Manchester.
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the co-delivery of the Carousel project funded by the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund.
Carousel will offer young people in Oldham a volunteering-based activity, training and support programme. Through community action by young people it aims to energise local communities and build links between people from different backgrounds, whilst developing the skills and aspirations of disadvantaged young people.
The project coordinator will have previous experience of working with diverse communities and have the skills needed to engage and support young people from different ethnic backgrounds and communities in Oldham.
