Trusts & Grants Fundraiser

Salary:                                 £23 259 per annum

Holiday entitlement:           25 days plus 10 statutory holidays

Hours:                                 35 hours per week

Location:                             Atherton house, Manchester

We are currently seeking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to the post of Trust & Grants Fundraiser to identify and generate income from trusts, foundations and other grant makers to support the work of Henshaws Society for Blind People.

This is an exciting time to join the Henshaws fundraising team, having recently undertaken an extensive review of our fundraising strategy, with clear plans and ambitions for our future. Duties will include researching and applying to small-medium trust and grant funders in order to develop effective partnerships that generate income and increasing current levels of financial support received from existing donors, ensuring that relationships are effectively managed and maximised. We are looking for someone who possesses:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills demonstrating good use of grammar and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent research skills with experience of presenting complex information in easy to understand formats.

Previous experience in a trust fundraising role is desirable. It would be beneficial to have an understanding of the needs of service users with visual impairments and/or other disabilities.TG Fundraiser JD Jan 2015 (2)
