Context of the role:
Life is complicated and sometimes you just need a bit of advice and guidance. We are confident that good advice changes lives. We also know that sometimes there are challenges and barriers to following the advice that we give. We have received funding from the Stretford Community Panel to pilot a scheme that offers volunteer mentoring to people who might need a bit more support. This may be help with taking the next steps in resolving an issue, finding courses to improve skills or ways to improve general health and well-being.
This post will be responsible for managing the project and the volunteers recruited specifically for this work. This role will recruit and induct the volunteers for the project and then supervise the work of the ‘CAB Driver’ volunteer mentors to ensure better and more sustainable outcomes for clients as a result of the advice and information we provide.
This is a temporary role over 12 months, funded by the Stretford Community Panel.
This is a part-time post for 0.4 FTE, 14.5 hours per week.
The salary for this post is £17,333 pa (£6,933 pro-rata).
