The Trafford Life Coaching Project is an innovative partnership between the Trafford CIL and Greater Manchester West Mental Health Trust (GMW). Our Autism Life Coaches work on a 1-1 basis with adults with Autism Spectrum Conditions.
The coach will work with individuals who have been referred by Trafford Extended Services (GMW) following an adult diagnosis of an Autism Spectrum Condition, and will work to identify and remove barriers, reduce anxieties and develop strategies to support individuals to achieve their goals.
Working with clients on a weekly basis using a range of innovative coaching and motivational techniques, our life coaches will identify individual goals and progression routes, support people to seek or remain in employment and work to reduce social isolation.
The successful coach will be based at Trafford Centre for Independent Living and will work flexibly to meet the needs of the individuals they support. This may include some evening and weekend working and can be negotiated with each client.
These posts may suit people already working part time in autism, psychology, support or social care capacity. They may also be of interest to people hoping to work in the fields of social work, psychology or occupational or speech and language therapy. They may also be of interest to people who understand autism because of a family or personal connection.

We are a disabled people’s user-led organisation, set up using the expertise of disabled people to provide tailored support to disabled people to live full, enjoyable and independent lives.
