    Trafford Housing Trust have announced the Altrincham community budget has opened applications from interested parties who maybe wanting to hold community summer events.

    The events have to take place during the summer months of 2011 and the closing date for applications is 10th June 2011 and the events have to take place between this date and the end of September 2011.

    The Government has reversed its decision to reduce the age limit for the application of vetting and barring arrangements. The Coalition has originally planned to exclude those working only with sixteen and seventeen year olds but has now added an amendment to the Protection of Freedoms Bill to keep the current cut off age of eighteen.

    Big has produced a new guidance note about the reaching Communities Fund. The good news is that the fund has been increased to £100m, however it is still massively oversubscribed.
