X-Change is a new service that uses social activities to encourage and support people who smoke to make a positive change in their smoking behaviour. The two Outreach Workers will do this through outreach, individual action plans, personal support and group activities. They will also support the service manager with external relationships, monitoring and evaluation of the service.
You will be able to engage a wide variety of people in community settings. You will have excellent skills in active listening, inspiring people and supporting them in making behaviour changes. Able to work on your own, as well as in a team, you will have a good knowledge of Salford and an understanding of health and happiness. With personal experience of making lifestyle changes, you will be willing to work occasional unsocial hours and to work outdoors.
