Network Opportunity - South Asian Cultural heritage Project

Ambition in partnership with the British Council, Culture and Sport Glasgow, Rathbone, and Manchester Museums and Galleries Group have secured funding from the HLF ‘Kick the Dust Programme’ to explore with young people heritage from the South Asian Diaspora. Young people will be recruited to help design and support the development of the project in the initial developmental phase and through to the main programme.

The partnership  is looking to recruit 15 young people from both Manchester and Glasgow (30 in total) to support the developmental phase of this exciting project, where young people get to give their views and investigate how museums in Manchester and Glasgow can encourage and engage more with young people living in the city.

We are looking to especially recruit young people from South Asian backgrounds (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh) or young people with an interest in South Asian Heritage aged 14 – 25, and who are based in Glasgow and Manchester, to take part in two days of training.

The workshops will be hosted as follows:
Manchester – Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th October 2017

Kanaris Theatre at Manchester Museum

Glasgow –  Saturday 4th  and Sunday 5th November 2017
