This is a unique and challenging opportunity for a driven person, with extensive experience of working in the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector (VCSE), to influence the development of the new Local Care Organisation (LCO) in Manchester. The role will be pivotal in ensuring that person and community centred approaches, are at the heart of neighbourhood based care.
The right person will have a strong value base, a track-record of building relationships and networks to enable change. The ideal candidate will be passionate about improving health and wellbeing, and involving local people in decisions about their care. You will also be a champion for the "Our Manchester" ethos, embracing and promoting creativity, flexibility and change
You will bring a VCSE perspective to the work of the LCO senior team, ensuring that the potential role of the local VCSE is capitalised, and statutory providers are supported and challenged to deliver their commitment to new ways of working. This includes taking a lead on ensuring that the "Our Manchester" principles are embedded within the new organisation.
