BBC Learning, Apprentice Production Management Assistant

We have an exciting new Apprenticeship role to fill at BBC North.  The BBC Learning team is looking for a new Production Management Assistant Apprentice.

BBC Learning seeks to connect, create and magnify powerful opportunities for learning across the entire BBC to inspire all audiences.

We do this by producing a substantial portfolio of programmes and a range of learning resources delivered online, on-air and through face-to-face activities. We are home to the BBC’s factual & educational websites such as Bitesize and our new and innovative online offering iWonder.

As a department we play a central part in meeting the BBC's purpose of promoting education and learning. We provide opportunities for all audiences by inspiring them to learn new skills, knowledge or ideas. We are committed to delivering key skills to learners throughout the UK from the best learning resources. BBC Learning is part of BBC Knowledge and Learning, BBC Television and BBC North.

The Apprentice Production Management Assistant in BBC Learning provides administrative support to the production team/s, in order to ensure the smooth and efficient running of productions. You will be working across all areas of Learning from Radio and Online to our outreach campaigns. You will work in partnership with editorial colleagues to help deliver outstanding content for the BBC that is both on time and on budget.

Your duties will include providing administrative support for the production during the planning process and set up period, helping to manage and monitor production budgets, and assisting the Production Co-ordinator in the preparation and communication of production information.

This is an ideal position for someone with great inter-personal skills to start and develop their administration career in a busy online and events production environment.  By the end of your contract you'll have gained an Apprenticeship in Business Administration.
