Advice Service Manager

Context of the role:

By giving advice and information, we support people to solve problems and change their lives. We do this through the internet, over the telephone, via webcam and face-to-face. The majority of our work is delivered by volunteers, supervised by paid staff who are experts in ensuring that high quality advice is given and that volunteers are supported and motivated. This role is part of a team managing and supervising the delivery of advice across the borough.

Role purpose:

This role will be responsible for supporting a team of volunteers delivering advice through a variety of channels. This includes ensuring the volunteers are trained for their roles, are supported in their advice giving, that quality is monitored and that clients receive excellent customer service.

Role duration:

This is a temporary post until March 2015.

Further funding for this post beyond March 2015 will be actively pursued but cannot be guaranteed.


This is a full-time post for 1.0 FTE, 36.25 hours per week.
