37 Hours, Salary: £17,333 - £21,734
Contract Length: six months
Office Base (negotiable): Blackpool, Leyland or Accrington
As an advocate you will provide Advocacy support to clients with matters relating to Health and Social Care in a range of settings such as the community, hospital or care home. In particular working with clients that have been detained (subject to the Mental Health Act) and those that lack capacity (subject to the Mental Capacity Act). Your role will be to work in a person centred way to enable vulnerable people to have their rights upheld and voices heard.
The successful candidate will have an understanding of the Advocacy role and principles and the issues faced by people accessing Health and Social Care. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential. We are looking for someone that is able to display empathy and deal with conflict situations. Someone with knowledge of relevant legislation and excellent organisational skills to be able to manage a client caseload.
