Local disability charity, Stockdales, is asking people to show their support and to do a sponsored 5K walk around Sale Water Park. The Big Push will take place on Saturday 16th September to raise much needed funds for the charity.
The event was launched last year and is called The Big Push because some of the people doing the walk will be wheelchair users. Members of staff will be pushing people around the course, so it’s no mean feat!
Stockdales would love for people from the local community to join them on the day to help raise money. Fancy dress is optional, although it does make it more fun. People might want to do it on their own, with their dog, as part of a group, with friends and family or with their colleagues. Everyone is welcome. The more, the merrier!
The event is free to join and there is no minimum sponsorship. Participants can get a registration pack by emailing Natalie James on firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling her on 0161 973 2296. Places must be booked by Friday 1st September.
If you can’t join the team on the day, you can show your support by sponsoring them at www.justgiving.com/teams/bigpush2017
